A Mother's and Daughter’s journey,
From childhood to High School Graduation,
To Educational Pursuits beyond EAHS
A Short 'BE GREAT' Story:
Tajhal Marie Dowling, 18 years old, was born on April 28th, 1992, to her proud mother Ms. Tina Marie Dowling. Tajhal is an Easton Area High School 2010 graduate, and now attends East Stroudsburg University as an Education Major. Tajhal resides in Easton with her parents Tina & Garfield Hackett.
Tajhal enjoys spending time with her family and pet dog CHANEL. She volunteers for the Boys & Girls Club of Easton and has accomplished many achievements with the support and encouragement of the "Club".
There were many rough times for mom Tina, raising Tajhal as a single parent in a low income housing development and surrounded by constant disruptions and challenging situations for such a young family, however, much of Tajhal’s positive focus and good outlook on life is attributed to her personal hard-work, dedication and determination. Most importantly Tajhal's accomplishments are due to the exceptional guidance, diligence and caring that Tina instills in her daughter as Tajhal continues to advance in the right direction on her way to SUCCESS!
Ironically Tina first joined the Boys & Girls Club of Easton at the ripe age of 7 years; as a club member at the age of 14 Tina became extremely active in the Future Stars Keystone Club where she immediately stepped forward, taking a leadership role in creating age appropriate programs and activities for her peers in the Keystone Club and the general membership. Tina’s enthusiasm and positive foresight eventually lead to her being hired as a Teen Program Aid at the Boys & Girls Club of Easton and, very soon after, Tina was on her way to an inspiring career with Boys & Girls Clubs of America through the local Boys & Girls Club of Easton where she has become a fixture as an experienced youth development professional and the Club’s current Program Director.
As for Tajhal, who knows what the future will reveal for her, but for sure it’s going to be positive, and like her mother's first start, Tajhal can be found at the Boys & Girls Club of Easton volunteering, giving back and helping the Club impact the lives of America’s youth.
Whatever the outcomes, we salute both Tajhal and Tina for their outstanding team work and wish both mother and daughter great success in their current and future endeavors.
In addition to Tajhal we offer our proudest words of congratulations and best wishes to all the B&GCE High School Graduates we know this accomplishment will compel you to be successful in your path of choice. You made of all at the Boys & Girls Club of Easton very proud, more important your graduation is an honor to your parents and all who believe in you. congratulations!
