I-Station
ISIP™ Reading (Istation’s assessment for K through 8th grade) and Istation Reading (instruction for K through 8th grade) measure and instruct in skills most predictive of reading success.

Istation is a a fun and engaging way for students to achieve success in reading! It is an internet-based reading intervention program for use by students in grade K through 2. Istation is made up of four easy-to-use components that work together to help students achieve success in reading:

1. Assessments Identify Areas in Need of Improvement,
2. Individual Instruction is Delivered in a Fun, Animated Format,
3. Student Improvement is Monitored Closely, and
4. Teacher Resources Provide Additional Support.
Readers are assessed in approximately 30 minutes with an engaging computer-adaptive assessment. Based on their results, learners are seamlessly placed in interactive online instruction. Struggling students are routed through reteach lessons, and teachers are given instant reports to monitor student progress. Each Priority Report directs teachers to specific skills-based, small-group lessons for targeted reading intervention.
Results

  • With the goal of advancing students’ reading levels to at or above grade level, participants in the Istation Reading Readiness program have demonstrated the following positive results over a seven year period:                                                                                                                             
  • 2014-2015 Istation (school year + summer) results: 93 students, 72% reading at or above grade level, 46% increase in Tier 1 levels, 21% decrease in Tier 2 levels, & 25% decrease in Tier 3 levels from start to finish;                                                                                                      
  • 2015-2016 Istation (school year + summer) results: 149 students, 66% reading at or above grade level, & 125/149 or 84% of all scores increased;    
  
  •     2016-2017 Istation (school year + summer) results: 126 students, 63% reading at or above grade level, & 91/126 or 72% of students made improvements/increased in two or more critical areas of reading;                                                 
  • 2017-2018 Istation (school year + summer) results: 117 students, 78% reading at or above grade level, & 94/117 or 80% of students made improvements/increased in two or more critical areas of reading;                                                                                                                                   
  • 2018-2019 Istation (school year + summer) results: 109 students, 87% reading at or above grade level, & 100/109 or 92% of students made improvements/increased in two or more critical areas of reading.                                                                                                                             
  • 2019-2020 Istation (school year + summer) results: 70 students, 90% reading at or above grade level, & 90% of students made improvements/increased in two or more critical areas of reading.                                                                                                                 
  • 2020-2021 Istation (school year + summer) results: 90 students, 75% reading at or above grade level, & 90% of students made improvements/increased in two or more critical areas of reading.
